Introducing Dashter 1.1: Start screen and Curation Projects
While we’ve put lots of work in to many areas of Dashter for our 1.1 release, there are 2 new features that we’re thrilled to unveil today.
The first feature is our new Start page. The Start page is designed to help you get around many of the features in Dashter with helpers, so that you can become more comfortable with the platform right from the start. We’ve built a ton of functionality in to Dashter, but without the right guidance, what good is it? We think our new Workflows are a start. You can view several helpful workflows on Dashter’s 4 main activites: Listening for content & conversations, Curating interesting tweets in to cohesive stories, Cultivating better social relationships on Twitter, and Amplifying your social media & blogging strategies.

The second major feature release in Dashter 1.1 is Curation Project management. Curation projects represent a totally new way to interact with Tweets inside Dashter & WordPress. Rather than curating content in a linear, post-driven format, we’ve now create a drag & drop screen that lets you quickly assemble the outline of a WordPress post without having to commit to the entire writing process. You can create new projects on-the-fly, and quickly see if the story that you want to share is worth pursuing. If not, kill your project and move on. If so – commit your project to a new WordPress post instantly – and publish immediately. Of course, publishing your post still features all of the powerful post-publishing features you’ve come to expect from Dashter including automatic smart-Tweet generation as well as queued post mentions of the people you curated in to your post.

Thanks for taking a look! These features are just part of the Dashter 1.1 release. You can find out more about many of our existing features by checking out the Dashter Tour, and of course you can pick up your very own copy today!
